Ja, Salin-de-Giraud ist der Ort, in der der Strand liegt.

Wir waren 1997 von den Pyrenäen in Richtung Heimat unterwegs und es war stinkheiß. Wir wollten eigentlich nur für die Mittagspause einen luftigeren Platz haben und fuhren da hinaus. Wow! Zuerst waren da die rosa Flamingos, dann der riesige Salzhaufen bei der Saline. Allein das hätte den Umweg schon mehr als gerechtfertigt.
Dann kamen wir ans Wasser und trauten unseren Augen nicht - Wohnmobile über Wohnmobile! Wir fuhren ein paar Kilometer diese Wohnmobilstadt entlang, ehe wir einen ordentlichen Platz für die Mittagspause sahen. Wir haben uns gestärkt und sind dann noch eine Runde im Wasser geschwommen. Übernachtet haben wir allerdings nicht.
